PASSEMENTERIE

Passementerie, the art of tassel making, sadly classified by Heritage Crafts as 'Endangered' on their Red List, is a very intricate craft using large quantities of both materials and time. Generally i will make tassels to order only, so if you have a requirement please contact me to discuss styles and colours.

Showstopper tassel!

A crazy tassel and most definately a talking point!

Decadence

A very large heavy tassel. Head covered in rich purple gimp, a straight black cotton skirt with gimp bullion twist overskirt. Uncut ruff with silk buttons and twisted cord valance. Further embellished with jewels.

Harlequin

A very long tassel of silky rayon. The tassel head made from covered beads with a velvet pompom ruff.

Marie Antoinette

This tassel was made some time ago and has a heavy cotton skirt with gimp bullion twist over skirt and lots of lovely embellishments such as silk covered wire flowers and gimp medallions!

Simplicity

A simple cotton tassel made from crochet cotton. A cord covered head, straight skirt and cut ruff. Co-ordinated hanging cord.

A large cotton tassel with straight wired skirt, cut ruff and embrace.

Ebony & Ivory

A very long tassel with a gimp covered head, straight silk skirt, co-ordinated hanging cord, finished with an uncut ruff and velvet pompoms.
